Feel your Qi accumulate as you move through all Five Element horse stance postures. Hold static positions, while finding a balance of strength and relaxation. Use this on its own, or after any routine. An excellent practice when you are recovering from an emotional time, or when you want to build your root Qi. Includes the following:
Wood Element posture - for liver and gallbladder
Fire Element posture - for heart and small intestine
Earth Element posture - for spleen and stomach
Metal Element posture - for lungs and large intestine
Water Element posture - for kidneys and bladder
*Remind yourself to breathe deeply and use the breath to give you the energy to hold the posture. If your arms get tired during any of the five postures, just hold the Ready Position, breathe, and return back to the posture when you feel ready. As with all Qigong practice, remember to have a clear intention during horse stance. Need more energy, want to encourage healing, want stable emotions? This practice can help!
