Just like exercises at a gym or dances to music, there are many different Qigong practices to suit different needs. There are basically 2 approaches:
#1 There are some traditional Qigong practices that are very structured - they tell you exactly what to do on what day. This can be appealing because it eliminates needing to think about what to do next.
#2 There are styles that are more purposeful and intentional based on your wants/needs, the season, your specific problem, stage of life etc. With this approach a person is more free to determine what is best for them and connect with what they resonate with.
I generally steer towards #2 where a person is free to explore and "find what works for them." It seems as if people feel more connected to their own practice and they feel empowered - which is great! However, I do also see that we can feel lost, and unclear which practices to do. There are many routines in the Communi Qi and we continue to add to it, so I can understand why :) So... the Qi-T-Sheet Pathways are a way of offering a little bit of structure based on goals. This could be more strength, energy, flexibility, increased system function, better health in specific areas. We don't need thousands of practices, just a few that work well for us.
Each of the Qi-T-Sheets addresses a different goal a person might have. I would suggest downloading the Qi-T-Sheet and following the practices for 10 days. Each Qi-T-Sheet contains a list of routines. You can do one a day for 10 days, or choose one or two that you particularly like and focus on them for 10 days. The idea is that it gives you a list of routines to choose from. There is flexibility in how you do it.
The Qi-T-Sheet 'pathways' are carefully considered, based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qigong principles, and observing what works with Qigong practitioners and patients.
