The Topic for this month is:
"Yi - The Gentle Art of Intention ~ Let's Practice"
Yi is translated as 'intention' or focused awareness and it is incredibly transformative in Qigong practice!
It's really easy to just 'go through the motions' in our practice - physically present, but mentally disengaged or distracted.
Yi is the 'quiet thread' that connects our awareness, our breath, our movement, and a deeper intention into our practice.
In the internal arts, there’s an idea: “Yi leads the Qi.”
But what does that actually mean? And how do we use Yi in our practice?
In this Qi Chat we’ll explore:
- What is Yi
- How choosing the right kind of Yi supports healing, calm, or vitality
- What to do when “relaxing” actually feels stressful
- How Yi can make Qigong transformative 🦋
Then we’ll practice the Sending Light Qigong routine together!
