There are many types of pain, with many reasons. Qigong and Tai chi can generally help most types of pain no matter what the reason is. But how exactly does it work? There is still some mystery as to how Qigong helps pain from a Western medicine point of view. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, pain is caused by a stagnation of chi, qi, or energy. In order to reduce pain you need to move any stagnant qi. An excellent way to do this is through Qigong. There are many different types of Qigong. It's best to find a style that resonates with you or that you are drawn to. There is no right or wrong :)
